In 2024, SEE will bring the Tech for Good Digital Series and Forum as part of its Digital Forum track record. The forum explores how technology should be both profitable and an intrinsic force for positive societal impact, organized around three themes: advocating for the transformational power of tech, recognizing that tech isn’t always a force for good, and encouraging ESG-oriented business development. Our vision is that tech and business must be guided by both economic and ethical principles, which leads to the driving question behind this edition: why must tech development be ESG-aware and sustainability-oriented?

The case for responsible tech development is both economic and ethical. On the economic side, businesses expect responsible tech to boost brand reputation, customer and employee retention, talent attraction, and sustainability impact. On the ethical side, tech must address global challenges like climate change and conflict, and the discussions will include regulation, policy, and moral responsibilities.
